Carbonopoly is a simulation exercise, which provides “players” with a real world experience of the forthcoming carbon market in a “theatrically” constructed carbon exchange.  Carbonopoly provides an insight into the mix of revenue and carbon credits, profits and energy efficiency.  The game is structured to encourage a synergy between canny business decisions and creative sustainability initiatives.

As with all facets of the interplay between the economy and the ecology, Carbonopoly helps people to viscerally understand the economic notion of "externalities", the value of the trillions of dollars of eco-services and the "true cost" of the subsidisation of the economy by nature ... to wit ... the story of that other huge atmospheric impact that we've had - ozone depletion ...
